In consultation with parents and professionals, a new set of criteria has been produced to assess disabled children most in need of specialist services in Hampshire. Specialist services may include social work support, overnight short breaks, the family link scheme, and support within and outside the home.

Children in reciept of Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate are able to access help to enable them to take part in clubs and activities which are part of extended services.
