Do you need some more specialist help - for yourself or someone in your family?
If you can, try to speak to your GP or health visitor, who may be able to give you information about local services which they can recommend.
NHS Choices has general information about counselling and special support at difficult times. You can also contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 who may be able to help you with information about support available locally to you.
If you are a young person aged 13-19 years old and need some help, you can contact the Connexions adviser who visits your school. They are independent of your school, so anything you discuss with them will not be shared with the school if you don't want it to be. Or you can visit their website here. There is a helpline open from 8am until 2am - ring 080 800 13219 - they can ring you back, or you can ask about text-back. They also offer an adviser-on-line, where you can have one to one help from an adviser on line.
Do you have relationship problems? Contact Relate here or ring them to find your nearest branch on 0300 100 1234. They can help with support with problems with any kind of relationship - partners, parents or children for example.
Do you need someone to talk to about your problems? Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can help you talk through your worries. Call them on 08457 909090.
