Out of School

To find holiday schemes and out of school childcare in your area visit the childcare search facility

NFDC list holiday and out of school childcare some of which is offered by Adventure, Activity and Education Centres. This website will also give you information about those providing the care, including whether they are registered with Ofsted.

A number of the after school childcare facilities are based at schools but this is dependent on having enough children to make the service viable. Childcare providers may accept children from other schools. Some can arrange transport from your child’s school (if there is sufficient local demand) to the club, at an extra cost - you would need to collect your child from the club.

In addition to childcare there is a wide range of out of school activities, events and clubs for children. Parents can search for these through  Hampshire Family Information Directory or school websites. Please be aware that these providers are not all required to be registered with Ofsted, and are not necessarily part of a school – even if they operate on a school site. Also check out the holiday activities page - please be aware that these are supervised activities rather than childcare, parents are need to satisfy themselves that the needs of their child will be met.
