YOUR LOCAL PARENT SUPPORT ADVISOR IS: MAGS HATFIELD

Her role is to provide support and information; working alongside parents/guardians to encourage them to achieve the best outcome for their children. She has extensive experience of working in infant, junior and secondary schools. She lives locally and has three children and warmly invites you to contact her:

WHAT IS A PARENT SUPPORT ADVISOR?

Someone who provides support and guidance for parents of school age children.

  • A link between home and school.
  • To support parents with children's behaviour issues.
  • Someone who is a good listener and can support parents through difficult times.
  • A person who offers guidance to parents with school attendance issues.
  • A source of encouragement for parents who hope to take more of a part in their child's learning.

A PARENT SUPPORT ADVISOR ...

  • Helps with concerns parents may have about their child starting school or regarding the transition to another.
  • Provides information and help to access other agencies and organisations.
  • Offers information on children's activities during the holidays.
  • Listens to parents needs and works with them to lead the situation to a positive outcome.

All discussions with Mags Hatfield will be confidential unless she believes your child might be at risk of harm, in which case, information will be shared in accordance with normal practice.
